We are looking for a highly organized and technically proficient FTTH Maintenance Engineer to manage and oversee fault restoration. This is a field role, the position focuses on restoration of phase B infrastructure including small scale civil works, fiber splicing and measurements.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil engineering and fiber optic networks, combined with excellent project management and communication skills.
What you will do:
- Ensure all work comply with technical specifications, safety standards, and quality requirements.
- Act as the main point of contact between internal departments for network maintenance activities.
- Manage scheduling and prioritization of emergency and planned restoration works.
- Prepare detailed reports on incidents, restoration progress, and overall network health for senior management.
- Support internal teams with technical guidance and ensure alignment with operational goals.
It would be nice if you have:
- Solid understanding of fiber optic network architecture, installation, and maintenance principles.
- Proven experience in civil engineering, including fiber optic blowing works on the fiber optic distribution network, microduct restorations and Manhole maintenance operations (inert materials).
- Proficiency in Fiber Optic Splicing including splices on FDEs/FDCs and BEPs/DBBs.
- Familiarity with safety protocols and regulatory compliance in telecom environments.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
